In an Oct. 5 news release from the Massachusetts attorney general’s office, the state alleged that Brockton, Mass.-based Luminosity Behavioral Health Services billed the state for higher levels of services than it provided and billed Medicaid for a code not applicable to its services.
In addition to the settlement cost, Luminosity will implement a three-year independent compliance monitoring program, according to the news release.
