Escondido, Calif.-based Palomar Health and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Behavioral Health are set to break ground on a new behavioral health facility in Escondido.
The 84,700-square-foot Palomar Health Behavioral Health Institute will be equipped with 30-bed units offering care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, according to an Aug. 20 news release shared with Becker's. The hospital will also be the first on the West Coast to house the Help for Heroes program, a specialized mental health and substance use treatment program designed for military personnel, veterans, first responders and healthcare workers.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the facility will be held Sept. 12.
