The unit takes up the fourth floor of the medical center and includes 20 single-occupancy rooms and two double-occupancy rooms, each equipped with safety features such as non-ligature fixtures and breakaway bathroom doors.
The unit also includes three seclusion rooms and a therapy room. It is currently staffed by 28 nurses, including two administrators, the report said.
