The hospital will be a joint project between Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, an affiliate of Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Health System, and Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, the largest standalone behavioral healthcare company in the country.
The two organizations will invest more than $55 million in the hospital with the intention of increasing access to behavioral health services in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa, with 29 licensed inpatient beds at Jennie Edmundson’s behavioral health unit moving to the new facility, the report said.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
