Lynchburg, Va.-based Horizon Behavioral Health plans to offer 15 scholarships for trauma sensitivity training to Virginia educators and school administrators, ABC affiliate WSET reported Feb. 6.
Five awardees will attend the National Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conference in Houston Feb. 20-21. Ten awardees will attend the conference virtually.
The conference is known as the largest gathering of trauma-informed educators, according to the news outlet.
Horizon plans to provide scholarships to an educator or school administrator in each county of Central Virginia.
