Highmark will offer behavioral healthcare to its members through Spring Health beginning in 2024.
According to an Oct. 9 news release, the collaboration will increase access to points of behavioral healthcare by 40% for Highmark members.
Spring Health, which uses data to develop personalized treatment plans for mental health conditions, will power the Mental Well-Being platform Highmark members can access online.
"Expanding access and making it easier for members to engage with a personalized treatment plan helps us intervene earlier, driving a cultural shift in the behavioral health space and cost savings, which Highmark Health reinvests in the consumer experience as part of our Living Health model," Anil Singh, MD, senior vice president and executive medical director of population and curated health at Highmark Health, said in the news release.
Highmark Health has more than 7 million insurance members through Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware and New York.
