Over $15 million of the funding will go to communities to develop assisted outpatient treatment programs for adults with serious mental illness, according to a March 22 news release.

Other projects the agency will fund include $6 million to states to promote the integration of primary and behavioral care, and $5.2 million to support the agency’s collaborative care program.

The agency will also allocate $4.6 million to underage drinking prevention and $2.4 million to suicide prevention on college campuses.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
