Shine was founded in 2016 and offers content including guided meditations, self-care courses, personalized support and virtual workshops.

The app’s co-founders and co-CEOs, Marah Lidey and Naomi Hirabayashi, are taking on leadership roles on Headspace’s product and marketing teams, respectively, according to a Sept. 8 news release from Headspace.

“We’re thrilled to join Headspace Health to scale the urgent work of closing the equity gap in mental health — something Naomi and I have often felt firsthand,” Ms. Lidey said in the release.
