The new program will be overseen by Jeffrey Ferraro, MD a psychiatrist from Capital City Psychiatry in Tallahassee, Fla.
Its first six residents received their white coats in a ceremony July 12.
“Seeing this program is a great opportunity for learning as well as a chance to bring a new generation of psychiatrists to the Tallahassee area,” Dr. Ferraro told WFSU.
Alan Keesee, HCA Florida Capital Hospital CEO, told WFSU that the hospital aims to have more than 100 residents in various programs by 2027.
