Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Maco, Ga., has opened a new emergency center for pediatric patients with behavioral health needs, ABC affiliate WGXA reported Nov. 30.
The 24-hour emergency pediatric center was funded by the Navicent Health Foundation and Virgil Cooper, who previously served as chief financial officer for the Medical Center of Central Georgia and is the namesake of the center.
The unit officially opened to pediatric patients Nov. 30, the report said.
