Geisinger relocates behavioral health services

Gesinger relocated its outpatient mental health services from its main hospital campus to a dedicated outpatient center.

The Danville, Pa.-based health system moved its outpatient behavioral health services including psychology, psychiatry and neuropsychology to its Hughes Center South, an outpatient-only building in Danville, according to a May 20 news release from Geisinger.

The move allows patients to receive outpatient care without needing to navigate the hospital's busy main campus, according to the release. Buildings at the new treatment location have been renovated and updated to better meet clinical and patient needs. The buildings formerly housing the services will become a multispecialty center.
