Franciscan Health, US HealthVest partner on behavioral care

Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health is partnering with New York City-based U.S. HealthVest to provide management services for behavioral health programs across the system’s Lake County hospitals, starting May 1.

U.S. HealthVest, a behavioral health service provider, will manage adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric units, the detoxification program and outpatient psychiatric services at Francisan Health Dyer, according to an April 30 news release shared with Becker’s. The company will also provide psychiatric consultation and navigation services in the emergency departments at Franciscan Health Crown Point, Dyer and Munster. 

St. Francis Center’s adolescent programs at Franciscan Health Dyer will remain under Franciscan Health’s management. Physicians within the Franciscan Physician Network will continue to be employed by Franciscan Alliance, according to the release. 

Franciscan Alliance operates 11 hospital campuses and has more than 19,000 employees.
