Author Health — a mental health startup for seniors with serious mental illness — has debuted with $115 million in financing.
Author Health is led by CEO and psychiatrist Katherine Hobbs, MD, according to a June 28 news release. Dr. Hobbs previously served as CEO of Optum Behavioral Care.
Humana will offer Author Health's services to Medicare Advantage members with serious mental illness and substance use disorders in coordination with CenterWell Senior Primary Care in the Southeastern United States..
The startup's financing was led by global growth equity firm General Atlantic, with participation from Flare Capital Partners.
