Florida State University and Apalachee Center, both based in Tallahassee, Fla., have partnered to expand behavioral health research and improve mental healthcare access.

Apalachee Center, described as the region’s largest provider of mental healthcare, will work with Florida State researchers to support studies focused on causes and effective treatments for behavioral health conditions, according to a March 19 news release from the mental health provider.

The organizations plan to collaborate on large-scale research aimed at improving understanding of mental illness and behavioral health challenges and advancing treatment development.
