Suncoast Mental Health Center will close its four locations, CEO Debra Engle said in a statement.

The decision to close was “due to financial challenges,” Ms. Engle wrote.

“We are deeply grateful for the trust and partnership we’ve shared with individuals, families, funders and community partners throughout the years. While this closure saddens us, we are committed to assisting our clients through this transition,” she said.

Suncoast Mental Health operated four facilities in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties on Florida’s Treasure Coast, TCPalm reported Feb. 3.

The center was one of the few mental health providers in the area in-network with all of Florida’s Medicaid managed-care providers, TCPalm reported.
