Florida hospital to open $71M behavioral health pavilion

Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital is opening a new behavioral health pavilion that includes four inpatient units, theSarasota Herald-Tribune reported Nov. 26.

The $71 million facility will open to patients Dec. 1 and will include a 16-bed geriatric unit, a 22-bed child and adolescent unit, a 24-bed adult unit and a 22-bed acute care unit. Other features of the 95,000-square-foot pavilion include single beds in each room, a garden and a sensory room on each floor.
