Los Alamitos, Calif.-based Discovery Behavioral Health appointed Joseph Garbely, DO, the medical director of its Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery treatment center in Scotrun, Pa.
Dr. Garbely is an internist, psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist with 24 years of experience, according to a Dec. 5 news release from the health system. Prior to his new position, he served as Wernersville, Pa.-based Caron Treatment Center's addiction medicine fellowship program director, executive vice president of medical services and chief medical officer.
Discovery Behavioral Health runs more than 154 treatment centers nationwide, offering care for a number of mental health, substance use and eating disorders.
