John Constantino, MD, is stepping into the newly-minted role of behavioral and mental health chief at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta, effective August 1, according to a news release shared with Becker's.

Dr. Constantino currently serves as the chief psychiatrist at St. Louis Children's Hospital, as well as the child and adolescent psychiatry division director and Blanche F. Ittleson Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

"I am thrilled to join a pediatric healthcare system that is determined to advance the behavioral health of its youngest generation, and to never settle for less than what science has shown to be possible for the prevention and treatment of mental health conditions of youth," Dr. Constantino said in the news release.
