CVS launches MinuteClinic mental health services in California

CVS Health now offers mental health counseling and care services at six of its locations in the Los Angeles area and debuted virtual care services to all California residents.

Six MinuteClinic sites inside CVS Pharmacy locations in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, Santa Clarita and Thousand Oaks added licensed mental health providers to their staff to provide mental health services including assessments, referrals, counseling and personalized care plans in person or virtually, according to an April 19 news release from CVS. 

MinuteClinic mental health services are available to patients ages 18 and older, with appointments available on days, evenings and weekends.

At all other California locations, CVS will offer depression screenings and referrals, according to the release.
