The program is available to adult patients with moderate to severe depression who have been unresponsive to at least two other antidepressant medication treatments, according to a Feb. 14 news release from the hospital.

The program is led by William Prueitt, MD, and will administer intravenous ketamine treatments twice weekly throughout the initial four-week treatment course. Patients will then receive tapered maintenance doses after the course to promote more lasting effects, the release said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
