Vail (Colo.) Health has released a behavioral health survey to assess the state of behavioral health in the region and inform its future program investments, according to a Dec. 26 report from Vail Daily.
The anonymous survey, developed in partnership with the Katz Amsterdam Foundation, is open to residents and employees ages 18 and older in Eagle County, Colo. It covers topics such as community connections, quality of life and health needs related to behavioral health and alcohol use.
The data helps guide the system’s investment in local behavioral health programs and is also used by partner organizations to evaluate services and share outcomes across similar communities, Dana Erpelding, vice president of behavioral health operations, said.
Vail Health has conducted the survey every other year since 2020 to track changes in community health needs. In 2026, 10 resort communities will participate with the goal of collecting at least 800 responses.
Survey results will be released in spring or early summer, helping inform the next two years of behavioral health planning.
