Mesa County, Colo., has approved three contracts to support behavioral health projects across the county, The Daily Sentinel reported Nov. 22.

The contracts, which were formed with three different providers, will be funded entirely from a $3.5 million Colorado Department of Human Services grant the county received earlier in the year.

The contracts will focus on keeping county residents with mental health needs out of jail and area hospitals, along with addressing homelessness, the report said.
