At participating universities, student-athletes will get self-report questionnaires focused on depression, anxiety, alcohol use and suicidality, the organization said April 21. A licensed therapist will then schedule a 1-on-1 follow-up appointment to review the questionnaires and perform their own diagnostic assessments.

The questionnaires go out every 90 days, with follow-up sessions to be scheduled two to four times per year, with additional optional testing or treatment as needed.
