Cincinnati Children's $99 million inpatient mental health facility is on track to open later this year, ABC affiliate WCPO reported May 17.
The five-story hospital will replace the health system's current center in College Hill, Ohio, according to WCPO. It is 68 percent bigger than the current campus and will house a larger cafeteria, a new partial hospital program, a break room for staff and two gyms.
Cincinnati Children's new facility will host dedicated spaces for different therapies, including group therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and recreational therapy and have capacity for 100 children, the news station reported.
The health system told WCPO it hopes the facility will make treatment more accessible to area residents.
