Children's Specialized Hospital launches program to address developmental-behavioral pediatrician shortage

New Brunswick, N.J.-based Children's Specialized Hospital has launched a program focused on addressing the national shortage of developmental-behavioral physicians.

The program will offer specialized training and credentialing to a general pediatrician in the field of developmental-behavioral pediatrics, according to a July 13 news release. Funding for the program is provided by a $30,000 grant from the Frances L. and Edwin L. Cummings Memorial Fund and a $10,750 grant from Impact 100 Garden State.

The pediatrician will receive credentials through a nine-month accelerated course in neurodevelopmental and related disabilities through the New Jersey Leadership Education Program.
