The unit features 22 rooms, calming designs and outdoor access, according to a Nov. 17 news release from the health system. The unit is one of few in the U.S. to allow a patient’s parent to stay overnight with their child.
A care team including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, nurses and art therapists will staff the unit and provide individualized treatment for each patient, according to the release.
