Bright Harbor CEO retires

Bayville, N.J.-based Bright Harbor Health CEO James Cooney is retiring after 13 years at the helm of the company formally known as Ocean Mental Health Services.

During his tenure, Bright Harbor expanded to include pharmaceutical and lab services, physical healthcare, transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy and a continuum of substance use treatment, the clinic said Aug. 23. He also oversaw Bright Harbor nabbing certification as a community behavioral health clinic.

The clinic’s board of directors said it has completed a “comprehensive and competitive” seaerch to find Mr. Cooney’s successor.
