The program is for kids aged 12-17, who do not require hospitalization for behavioral health concerns but need more attention than outpatient treatment. Patients spend eight hours a day at the hospital, then return home. The program will employ eight staff members, including a psychiatrist, the Times Dispatch reported, and can treat up to 20 patients at a time.

Bon Secours operates adult partial hospitalization programs at other hospitals in the Richmond area, the outlet reported.
