The initiative, spearheaded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, seeks to improve mental health and substance use care across the country, according to a Oct. 1 HHS news release.
The grants were distributed to 11 programs and ranged from $1 million to $15.4 million.
“These programs will improve equity and access to mental health and substance use care, as well as prevention and recovery services for people across the US,” Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, PhD, HHS assistant secretary for mental health and substance abuse, said in the release.
