Behavioral outpatient treatment center, training site opens in Florida

A new outpatient treatment center in Tallahassee, Fla., will house Florida State University's psychiatry residency program.

According to a April 16 news release, the Live Oak Behavioral Health Center will provide outpatient therapy and partial hospitalization programs. The center is a joint venture between the Tallahassee-based behavioral health provider Apalachee Center and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

The center will also be home to Florida State University College of Medicine's Psychiatry Residency Program. The program will add four residents in July, and add four more each year until it reaches a capacity of 16 residents.
