The behavioral health market value is on track to reach $66 billion by 2031, led by four industry services, according to a study published Sept. 15 by Allied Market Research.
The study identifies the demand for four industry services propelling the expected compound annual growth rate to 4.7 percent in the next nine years:
- Substance abuse disorder treatment
- Eating disorder treatment
- Inpatient hospital treatment
- Emergency mental health services treatment
The behavioral health market was valued at $41.7 billion in 2021. The U.S. held nearly 60 percent of the market value in 2021 and is projected to maintain the majority share through 2031, according to the report.
