Value-based treatment models focus on care outcomes and ongoing treatment to determine costs for payers and patients.

Brave Health provides mental healthcare to Medicaid patients, who historically have more difficulty finding in-network psychiatric care, according to a 2019 study published by JAMA Psychiatry. The partnership will use case managers from Molina Healthcare to coordinate and manage follow-up care for patients after discharge from inpatient psychiatric care.

“Our goal is to tackle this challenge head-on with a growing presence across regions, and a commitment to driving a systemic change in the way behavioral healthcare is delivered and paid for in the U.S.,” Anna Lindow, CEO and co-founder of Brave Health, said in an Aug.10 company news release.
