BCBS of Vermont adds virtual therapy provider

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont has partnered with Valera Health to connect Vermonters with a mental healthcare team through Valera’s virtual platform.

Valera offers virtual mental healthcare, therapy and psychiatry services for adults, adolescents and children ages 6 and older, according to an Oct. 3 news release. It also offers specialized programs, including serious mental illness, child and adolescent, and maternal health.

Through this partnership, Valera’s platform will support a variety of broad mental health conditions such as perinatal mental health, childhood and adolescent anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and schizophrenia for patients of Vermont’s only local, nonprofit health plan.
