Muir Wood offers therapy services to adolescents between 12 and 17 years old who are experiencing mental health or substance use disorders, according to a Jan. 17 news release. It also provides gender-specific and trauma-informed programs led by therapists, psychiatrists and nurses.

“We are seeing the prevalence of mental health and substance use disorders continue to rise in the adolescent population across the U.S., and the supply of high-quality services has been unable to keep pace,” Bryan Bowen, Muir Wood COO, said in the release. “With Avesi’s support and experience in helping to scale behavioral health platforms, we are eager to grow into new geographies and add new service lines in order to provide care that addresses the growing needs of our nation’s teens and their families.”

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place October 20–22 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
