Grand Junction, Colo.-based Ava Health, a behavioral health provider, will open a facility in Grand Junction on Feb. 9 to expand access to mental healthcare services across the region.
Partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programming, outpatient services and ambulatory detox are among the services the site will offer, according to a Jan. 14 news release from Ava Health.
The provider is also planning to open a residential care facility in March, CBS affiliate KREX reported Feb. 3. Ava Health said the additional capacity is expected to ease pressure on emergency departments and jails that often serve as default settings for mental health crises.
