Aspire is one of 15 Indiana community mental health centers to receive a grant from the state for mental health and recovery, according to a June 18 news release. The grant cycle totals $76 million from the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction.

Aspire will use the funding to open a CSU that will provide stabilization services for Indiana residents who need emergency care for mental illness or substance use disorder. CSUs provide community-based, short-term options that relieve emergency response infrastructure, the release said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place October 20–22 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
