The company and two of its subsidiaries allegedly “flouted their legal obligations and prioritized profits” over people, the Justice Department said. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
“The United States brings this suit to hold defendants accountable for their egregious failure to report suspicious orders and their role in contributing to the opioid epidemic,” the Justice Department said in the news release.
