Amazon partners with behavioral health company

Amazon has partnered with Rula Health, a behavioral health company with more than 10,000 providers, to expand customers' access to mental health care.

Customers of Amazon's health condition program will now be able to access Rula's network of therapists and psychiatrists, whose services are covered by most major commercial and regional insurance networks. About 120 million people are in-network with Rula's insurance partners, according to a Nov. 7 news release sent to Becker's. Once patients are matched with a provider, they can schedule appointments as soon as the next day.

"Our collaboration with Rula Health will help customers seeking therapy services discover their mental healthcare benefits, giving them access to Rula's network of over 10,000 qualified, in-network mental healthcare providers in a convenient way," Aaron Martin, Amazon's vice president of healthcare, said in the release.

Rula offers therapy services in all 50 states and psychiatric services in 31 states.
