Aetna expands youth mental health programs

CVS subsidiary Aetna has expanded its behavioral health programs with the mental health education platform Psych Hub.

A free training series will be offered to the 283,000 behavioral health and employee assistance program providers in Aetna's network, internal clinicians and CVS Health's licensed counselors who provide mental health courses and resources to adolescents and young adults.

The new program builds off the adult specialty suicide prevention continuing education series that Aetna and Psych Hub launched in 2021. The new, youth-focused program is concentrated on concepts from dialectical behavioral therapy. It also provides learning modules for providers.

CVS and Psych Hub also are launching a joint podcast in which youth and young adults will speak with leading mental health organizations in the U.S.
