A new inpatient psychiatric hospital is set to open soon in Indio, Calif., the Palm Springs Desert Sun reported Dec. 20.
Coachella Valley Behavioral Health will feature 80 inpatient beds across four patient care units and upon opening will become the only freestanding inpatient mental health facility treating patients in the Coachella Valley.
The four patient care units will focus on mood and substance use disorders, thought disorders, older adults with additional comorbid challenges, and adolescent mental health, the report said.
