Options Behavioral Health, a mental health facility in Lawrence, Ind., will close Oct. 9, according to a Sept. 9 report from WRTV

The facility’s parent company, Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare, said the closure follows a “careful and comprehensive review of the current landscape for the programs and services offered by our network of affiliated facilities.”

More than a dozen lawsuits have been filed against Options Behavioral Health and/or Acadia Healthcare by former patients and their families. A spokesperson for Acadia said three other facilities will also close but did not disclose which locations.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
