Acadia Healthcare reported net income of $68.1 million in the third quarter of 2024, up from a loss of $217.7 million in the same period last year.
The Franklin, Tenn.-based company reported its third-quarter earnings Oct. 30. Here are five numbers to note:
- Acadia reported $816.5 million in revenue in the third quarter, up 8.7% from the same time period last year.
- The average length of stay in Acadia's behavioral health facilities was 15.9 days, up from 15.5 in the same time period in 2023.
- The company opened five comprehensive treatment centers in the third quarter. Acadia now operates 164 comprehensive treatment centers, which provide medication and other treatments for opioid use disorder.
- Acadia added 15 beds to its existing facilities in the third quarter. The company expects to add 300 new beds in the fourth quarter of 2024.
- Acadia has opened two new facilities in 2024. A new facility in Madison, Wisc. was completed in October, according to the company's earnings report.
