8 new behavioral health projects in 10 days

Here are eight new behavioral health projects that Becker's has reported on since Nov. 10:

  1. A plan to build a 96-bed behavioral health hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been approved by the state.
  2. Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare is looking to open a mental health clinic in Roanoke, Va.
  3. A merger between two of Colorado's community mental health centers will create the largest behavioral health center in the state.
  4. Albemarle, N.C.-based behavioral health provider Monarch has opened an outpatient office in Pittsboro, N.C.
  5. Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based Onyx Behavioral Health opened a private mental health treatment center facility in Treasure Coast, Fla.
  6. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Family Care Center Behavioral Health Services opened its fourth mental health clinic serving patients in the Austin metropolitan area. 
  7. Wyoming Valley Behavioral Hospital opened in Kingston, Pa.
  8. East Boston Neighborhood Health Center officially opened its new behavioral health urgent care center for children, adolescents and adults.
