Here are eight new behavioral health centers and units that Becker's has reported on so far in September:
- SunCloud Health, a national behavioral health services provider for patients with co-occurring disorders, opened an outpatient center in Gaithersburg, Md.
- The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is constructing a new mental health hospital in Oklahoma City.
- Latino Behavioral Health Services opened a new facility in Salt Lake City that will nearly double the number of clients the organization previously had the capacity to serve in Utah.
- Compass Health Network is opening a behavioral health center in Festus, Mo.
- Harrison Memorial Hospital Primary Care held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new behavioral health portion of the HMH Primary Care Office in Falmouth, Ky.
- The Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska opened its third rural site at Wayne State College in Wayne.
- Highland-Clarksburg Hospital in Clarksburg, W.Va., opened an acute psychiatric unit to treat adolescent patients with emotional, behavioral and cognitive needs.
- A new forensic psychiatric hospital broke ground in Concord, N.H.
