Psychiatric aides and technicians had the lowest average wages of mental health provider occupations tracked by the BLS.

- Psychiatrists: $269,120
- Psychologists: $102,100
- Marriage and family therapists: $72,720
- Mental health and substance abuse social workers: $68,290
- Substance abuse, behavioral disorder, and mental health counselors: $65,100
- Psychiatric technicians: $45,000
- Psychiatric aides: $43,610
