$34M crisis wellness center to open in Tennessee

Alliance Healthcare Services has received a $1 million grant from the Memphis (Tenn.) City Council to support its Crisis Wellness Center to be built in the city, NBC affiliate WMC-TV reported Nov. 21.

The 55,000-square-foot, $34 million facility is expected to open in January 2025 and has been designed to be accessible by the Memphis police and fire departments to offer immediate behavioral healthcare for patients in need.

The facility has received an additional $24.5 million in funding from Gov. Bill Lee and the state of Tennessee, the Assisi Foundation, Day Foundation, Alliance Healthcare Services and the Alliance Foundation, the report said.
