Acadia, Erlanger’s joint venture hospital taps COO

Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital has appointed Matthew Whitley as COO, The Chattanoogan reported April 25.

In his new role, Mr. Whitley will oversee operations and service delivery for the Chattanooga, Tenn.-based behavioral hospital. Mr. Whitley previously spent 23 years as executive director of Storypoint Group, a senior living provider.

Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital opened in 2018 through a joint venture between Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare and Chattanooga-based Erlanger. In December, the organizations unveiled a 48-bed satellite location also in Chattanooga.
