The National Center of Excellence for Complex Post Traumatic Stress was created using a $1 million grant to the nonprofit Save a Warrior from the Disabled American Veterans organization and will provide mental health services for ill or injured veterans with suicidal ideation and mental health issues.
“This alignment of two tip-of-the-spear organizations will serve generations of veterans to come,” Jake Clark, founder of Save a Warrior, told The Bakersfield CaliforniaI.
“The National Center of Excellence for Complex Post Traumatic Stress will serve as a think tank for establishing best practices in the fight against the suicide pandemic.”
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place October 20–22 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
