The hospital is the result of a joint venture between Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health. It will be operated by Lifepoint Health business unit Lifepoint Behavioral Health.
The facility comprises 122,000 square feet, four stories, and 150 rooms for adults and adolescents to receive inpatient care. Valley Springs is the 23rd behavioral health hospital run by Lifepoint Behavioral Health, but it is the organization’s first hospital to be built and operated within a joint relationship.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
