12 behavioral health centers opening, expanding in June

Here are 12 behavioral health centers that have opened or expanded that Becker's has reported on in June:

  1. Community Care of West Virginia held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of a new behavioral health facility in Weston, W.Va.
  2. Multidisciplinary mental health treatment practice Bloom Health Centers is opening a new location in Winchester, Va.
  3. Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington opened a 17-bed inpatient behavioral health unit.
  4. Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare and Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare partnered to open Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital in Battle Creek, Mich.
  5. The University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora opened a new inpatient behavioral health unit, adding 40 inpatient beds.
  6. New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System opened the Mount Sinai-Behavioral Health Center in lower Manhattan as part of Mount Sinai's department of psychiatry.
  7. Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health launched construction for the Trillium Place Young Minds Center in Peoria.
  8. Caro (Mich.) Psychiatric Hospital is slated to open its doors to patients in the coming weeks, providing 100 beds across four patient "neighborhoods."
  9. Walmart Health opened three clinics in Jacksonville, Fla. that offer behavioral health services.
  10. McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey opened the Justin A. Borra Behavioral Health Center.
  11. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services and Grand Rapids-based Trinity Health Michigan have partnered to open Southridge Behavioral Hospital.
  12. A first-of-its-kind behavioral health center for children and young adults opened in Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
